Keep in mind the sun sets around 10PM and its a little over an hour to Bantry. There are country roads towards the end of the journey and they easiest to navigate during daylight hours.

Kenmare
Stop for dinner and a stroll in the town of Kenmare. There are many great accommodations here if you prefer to extend your stay in this area a bit longer. It’s a great alternative the the more touristy Killarney.
Special Note for Travelers from Shannon: Cliffs of Moher Excursion
If the Cliffs of Moher are on your bucket list, consider taking a couple day detour. They are just an hour from Shannon in the opposite direction of the wedding venue. Doolin, with its unbelievable restaurants, and biking the Aran Islands are treats worth exploring.
